Unser KAPĒL beginnt sein Leben als kleines, leichtes Pedalfahrrad, das sich entweder als erstes Fahrrad mit Gangschaltung, oder als Nachfolger eines Fahrrads mit nur einem Gang eignet. KAPĒL gibt deinem Kind die Möglichkeit, Selbstvertrauen zu gewinnen und seine Fahrkünste zu verbessern, während es zum ersten Mal eine Gangschaltung bedient. Mit unserem einzigartigen, patentierten UP:SCALE-Mitwachsrahmen kannst du das Fahrrad dann in ein größeres Rad umbauen, wenn dein Kind größer wird.

Wie bei allen unseren UP:SCALE Fahrrädern muss dein Kind auch nicht erst in das Rad „reinwachsen“ – denn du wählst die Größe vom KAPĒL so, dass es von Anfang an richtig passt. Wenn dein Kind dann wächst und stärker wird, wächst und entwickelt sich das Fahrrad dann mit ihm. Und mit unserem UP:RISE Vorbauverlängerer lässt sich auch die „Cockpit“-Größe des Fahrrads ganz einfach vergrößern. Das bedeutet, KAPĒL passt besser und hält länger als jedes andere Kinderfahrrad (Hier gibt’s Hilfe bei der richtigen Größenwahl).

Unser patentierter, wachsender Dreieckrahmen lässt dich das Fahrrad so einstellen, dass es jetzt passt, um dann mit deinem Kind zu wachsen.

Gut erreichbare, leicht zu ziehende Tektro®-Bremshebel mit dünnen 19 mm Stangen und individuellen Sicherheitsgriffen – optimiert für Kinder.

GO:LOW
Unser maßgeschneiderter Sattel und eine umgedrehte Sattelklemme – ermöglichen dem Sattel extra tief zu gehen, passend selbst für den kleinsten Fahrer.

UP:RISE
Unser einzigartiger Vorbauverlängerer schiebt den Lenker um 3 cm nach oben und 2 cm nach vorne und gibt dem Fahrer so mehr Platz nach vorne.

KAPĒL Größen & Modi

KAPĒL rollt auf 18-Zoll-Rädern und ist das erste Fahrrad mit Gangschaltung in der Black Mountain EPOK-Reihe. Es richtet sich an Kinder ab etwa 5 Jahren, die zwischen 110 cm und 128 cm groß oder bis sie etwa 7,5 Jahre alt sind (je nach Wachstumsrate). KAPĒL ist das ideale Einsteigerfahrrad für Kinder, die von einem Ein-Gang-Rad – wie unserem PINTO – auf ein vollwertiges Fahrrad umsteigen. Bitte nutz unser Sizing-Tool um Anhand des Könnens und der Größe herauszufinden, ob das KAPĒL das richtige Rad für dein Kind ist.

MODUS 1

Unser KAPĒL beginnt sein Leben als kleines, leichtes Pedalfahrrad, das sich entweder als erstes Fahrrad mit Gangschaltung oder als Nachfolger eines Fahrrads mit nur einem Gang eignet. KAPĒL gibt deinem Kind die Möglichkeit, Selbstvertrauen zu gewinnen und seine Fahrkünste zu verbessern, während es zum ersten Mal eine Gangschaltung bedient.

MODE 2

Wenn dein Kind an Größe und Selbstvertrauen zulegt, passt du einfach das UP:SCALE Rahmensystem an (hier siehst du, wie das funktioniert) um das KAPĒL in ein größeres Pedalrad umzubauen, wodurch sich der Rahmen um etwa 20% vergrößert. So wird die leicht rollende 18-Zoll-Radgröße optimal genutzt, und dein Kind hat länger Spaß mit dem Rad.

LAUFRAD-MODUS

Manche Kinder fangen etwas später mit dem Radfahren an und finden Gänge und Pedale am Anfang verwirrend. Deshalb kannst du, genau wie unsere kleineren PINTO- und SKØG-Modelle, KAPĒL auch als Laufrad einrichten. Some consistency problems but excellent biltong

I really enjoy beef jerky but drying meat on a cross grain cut results in subpar product. Biltong is dried in larger pieces, then cut into thin strips against the grain. This results in much more consistent slices and a much more tender snack than beef jerky. I've ordered several packages of this now and they are mostly great. The first was just about perfect, only a handful of slices were much wider or narrower with very few fines. Other packages have had more inconsistencies including more fine bits and one package that was less lean and didn't seem dried quite as well. It was still perfectly edible but the texture was less pleasing. That's a relative comparison because it was still very good. That single package was a 3.5 star while others were 5.

I don't know what it's supposed to be like
I have never had Biltong so I have no idea how this compares to others. I was pretty excited about it because it claims to be a tender beef snack, better than jerky. In my experience though, there were a couple things I should note. It's not that tender. It's not super chewy like some very dry jerky is but it's sort of like a very thick paper. I think it would be a really good texture if it were more tender but as-is, I don't know if people purely prefer it or if it's sort of a traditional thing that has a texture they try to nail. It's not big on flavor. Clearly it is spiced for flavor to a degree but it's very muted. Regarding heat, I have a lot of spicy food so maybe people that don't would think otherwise but, to me, calling it spicy is a huge overstatement. I need to try other biltong because it's entirely possible that this is a prime example and I just don't know it, but if it is I can't say I'm a big fan.

Update: Great customer service! They provided a pack of traditional flavor after seeing my review (originally 3 stars, now 5). The traditional flavor is MUCH better and passed the taste-test from everyone in my house. I imagined traditional flavor would be like spicy - just milder. I was wrong, it's a very different flavor, more familiar to American jerky, but still very unique and delicious. Combined with the unique texture (biltong is new to me), it's hard not to eat this by the handful. Getting the right flavor completely changed my opinion. Try traditional first! Original Review: I appreciate the nutrition, great for snacking. The cut/texture is good - seems like thicker cuts of dried meat sliced wafer thin. I tried Spicy Biltong, which wasn't great. I normally share a little bit of jerky with my young son and even my wife has some occasionally. We all agreed that the flavor wasn't great. Maybe other flavors are better. Better flavor would have made all the difference, but at this price, I probably won't risk it.

I was so excited to try these “slices” of beef because I grew up eating deer biltong made from deers my uncles would go hunt. Some of the best snacks I ever had, absolutely delicious. So when I decided to see if any biltong was actually sold around here I was surprised and pleased this was available. Unlike beef jerky which uses lots of sugar for some reason I was hoping this would have more meaty flavor but it doesn’t really. Although that might be due to the fact that I did get “slices” of meat, no what I got was basically shredded and powdered. It’s salty, but has absolutely no spice whatsoever and is just not good at all.

The flavor is ok but the spice is almost nonexistent. It’s super greasy/oily, with big pieces of fat, so if you’re expecting a nice lean, dry, and spicy biltong, this is not the right one to try. I took the photo to try and capture the shiny, wet, translucent appearance of this biltong but it’s hard to see. Maybe it’s just personal preference but I’m used to biltong being dry and opaque with nearly zero fat chunks and not leaving a film of oil on my hands after eating it.
